At Tsukuba, Japan, as one of leading laboratories belonging to the Japan’s National Institute for Materials Science (for 32 years since 1988) and University of Tsukuba (for 16 years since 2004), our lab has been engaging in instrumentation and analytical applications of X-ray spectroscopy and imaging (http://xray-neutron-buried-interface.jp/lab/). Our lab also had led some academic and industrial communities, and organized more than 40 national and international events. After Kenji Sakurai’s official retirement from both NIMS and Tsukuba University in March, 2020, it is now going to be reborn as a unique private and independent research laboratory. The Imaging Physics Laboratory maintains the home-made instruments for analytical measurements at Tokai, Ibaraki, Japan. The main jobs are :
(1) X-ray research and consulting for industrial and social issues.
(2) Measurement services on request.
(3) Supporting oversea companies’ marketing and related business in Japan. Exhibition booth supporting services, and technical assistance such as test measurements and checking instruments for their customers in Japan.
